Getting to Know International Organization Part 1 
I chose Outreach International website for this week, it is a humanitarian organization that works in communities to eradicate the world’s deepest poverty. In the website stated, “We believe in the inherent worth of all people and strive to help them find their inherent dignity.  We stand in solidarity with those suffering the injustices of poverty.  We exclusively work in ways that respect the values, culture, and spirituality of each community”. Outreach International implements a diverse set of activities related to international aid and development.
Outreach International offer a personal service to volunteers, giving you the support to go out there and make a difference; to a community, an individual or the environment.
I believe in the aims of Outreach International because they work with poor people to help them develop new skills and sources of livelihood to improve their own lives. The approach used is called participatory human development people participating in activities to overcome aspects of their poverty.

    Thank You for sharing! I like how this organisation is helping the poor to learn how to fish rather than giving them the fish. This is more sustainable

    I have never heard of this organization. It is great to share resources with colleagues because everyone benefits by expanding on resources. The Outreach International Organization helps along with many other organizations to decrease poverty and better the conditions for families in need. Thank you for your information.

    I love all the new organizations everyone is sharing. I have never heard of this one and it's definitely an interesting one because it teaches them skills to expand on rather than allowing individuals to wait for hand outs.

Testing For Intelligence  I do not think that Standardized Testing correctly measures a student’s intelligence or academic level. Every one is different, and some test well, while others may not test as well. While they may differentiate as to a grade and tell whether or not you move on to the next grade, everyone learns at their own pace and processes things differently. I believe that it puts too much pressure and stress on students to do good on those tests like the SAT, ACT tests, etc. I don’t feel like you can gain anything from taking those tests because most of the questions that are on the test are the ones that you’ve never seen before or you’ve never even learned about in school. It shouldn’t have to play a role on smart the student is or determined their abilities.
