I
chose Association for Children Education International organization. ACEI is
international organization and its belief that education is important for development. The focus of ACEI to educate all children , but their main focus is on meeting the education needs to the children that in need the most. Their
work started in 1892 to promote kindergarten education in the United States and
internationally. In 1930 their work expanded to promote education to primary school
years. In their Global/ACEI news section “Our Children Marching For
Their Lives in the United States” caught my attention. Children in United
States and around the world are marching to protest against gun violence in schools.
The violence in today’s world has become ordinary and common.
This violence causes number of deaths, injuries, pain and fear throughout the
world. I have leaned from this article that children march for tow reasons,
they march to express their emotion and also to show to the world the it is the
adults responsibility to protect children and by using violence act they are
not doing their job.

I do not understand why this is a touchy subject in the news and a delay for change. Does the NRA have so much control that regardless the amount of lives being lost to gun violence it means nothing? The focus continues to be moved from guns and onto something else - the access to bum stocks or mental illness or teachers and schools need to provide more security. We are failing our children every day when reform or laws are not changes, and the violence is increasing.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing ! I am also concerned at the increasing rate on violence in schools and especially that the law and reforms to protect children is not being changed. i agree we are falling our children daily, children should not be raised in fear and due to circumstances that is what is happening now.
ReplyDeleteYou know what......Gun violence has taken over the schools. Just like here in North Carolina, they are more interested in having more school policemen on campus than paying teachers. Do not get me wrong, I thank them for the protection but I feel that the teachers are their protection also. It take more than 2 eyes and 2 ears to have an excellent school day. The NRA needs to take a stand and do more to protect our children in school and at home. If the child get the gun from the parent, in my opinion, the parent is at fault too. No one is better than the other.
