A high quality early
childhood program provides a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the
physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children.
Where I work one issue regarding quality is serving healthier lunch choices at
the school cafeteria. Since I in private school, Parents pay for everything and
their expectations are high. Therefore there constant complain about serving
frozen heated food for children.The
school provide teachers professional training every year and also classes to
learn about safety and first aid in cases of emergencies.
As I
mentioned in my professional introduction about myself, it’s always been my
goal in life to become an early year’s teacher and see children achieve their
ambitions and helping them to achieve what they want in life is a big ambition
of mine.
Educating,
learning and inspiring children are my goals in my professional career. I have
always wanted to play a big role in children education and make a difference in
their life. Based on my experiences working with young children, I noticed
children learn better if teachers make the process of teaching fun. For
example, teaching math to children thought board games is a fun way to teach
them numbers and math operations. As I teach my students, I am learning
something new everyday as well. I learn different learning styles and have to
search for new ideas and teaching techniques to fit a group of children or
individual child. One of my dreams and hopes is to be able to own a preschool
and become the director of the school to provide a high quality education and
services for all the children and their families including children in poverty.
I loved your post. I really appreciate you as a teacher being creative and fun with your students.I really appreciate hearing about teachers who are trying to reach students in all ways to help them excel. I hope that you continue along your path and you achieve your dream in the future.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! I really like this. In reflection to the healthy meals, it seems that some schools and child care centers to bare minimum to create meals. The food program usually reimburses them for what is given to each child. It is not much but every little bit helps. I wish there was a way to actually fix the food problem but very little can be done.
ReplyDeleteNice post Naire! Thank you for your commitment to making early childhood education more accessible for more children. I particularly like your commitment to making learning fun. like Maria Montessori said ''play is the work of children''. I agree with you, Children learn better when the atmosphere is more fun and engaging.
