I chose Early Childhood Australia website because they focus is on advocacy, influencing many significant issues relevant to the care, wellbeing and education of young children in Australia. ECA advocates to ensure quality, social justice and equity in all issues relating to the education and care of children aged birth to eight years. Their mission statement got my attention “Every young child is thriving and learning.” As I was exploring the website under parent resources, I found some interesting topics that they cover. Some of the topics are Children’s health and nutrition, sleeping, separation anxiety and first year at school. All the topics provide great information that is useful for parents and especially for new parents like me. New parents are always worried and want answers to everything about their child. Therefore, hot topics like these topics are important to cover for parents who are looking for answers. In the Event section, I found interesting information ECA is offer a Leadership Program Masterclass, to people who are interested to develop their leadership skills. This session, founded on the ECA Leadership Capabilities Framework and incorporating the latest research and strategies for building sustainable and creative leadership and teams.

Hello Naire M. I decided to focus my blog assignment on the ECA organization as well. It was a easy website to navigate and I found it to be pretty informative for anyone that may have an interest in the early development of children and or for parents and guardians to use. Great choice!
ReplyDeleteNaire,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your post. I also talked about the Early Childhood in Australia website in my blog post. I like the information that they shared and the resources that they offered. I think what they stand for is great because they are really focused on the greater good of the children, which I think no matter where you are in the world is very important. This goes to show that people all over really do value education and I think that is a great thing.
Hi Naire,
ReplyDeleteI too, picked the Early Childhood in Australia site. I went undergrad to be a lawyer and my specialty was going to be in child advocacy. I loved seeing how much they focused on child advocacy throughout their organization. It was very eye opening and uplifting to read about!
